At last I've got my hands on a leo vince exhaust for a T5. I read somewhere that it can be de restricted somehow. Anyone know whats involved? Happy with it so far. Not as torqueless as a scorpion and a bit more top end than a sito plus.

Thanks soulboy for the help. Can't see the disc thing but as it's a secondhand exhaust, it might have been derestricted already. My scoot's running well with it, much better than I expected. Jeez it fits very tidy under the engine and with it, there's good access to the clutch and rear brake cable.

Thanks again soulboy for the reply. I'm sure I read somewhere that Harry Barlow rated them as a T5 exhaust. It's taken me a long time to track one down, I think they stopped making them a while back. I'll drill off the rivets holding the can anyway just to see what's in there. I've already tried a scorpion, sito plus and a simonini, not bad exhausts. The scorpion made the best power for sure but was only usable with a 172 kit. On a standard barrel the power band was too narrow. I had to buy a sports shock for the back to stop the pipe hitting the road on corners too. The simonini and the sito are too noisy and being honest, the standard exhaust wouldn't lose much to them. I'm interested in the leo really because it might be the only pipe that was made specifically for the T5. It likes to rev for sure and manages not to completely loose out on torque. It doesn't feel a compromise the way the other exhausts do. I've written all of this on the off chance it'll help someone!
Don,t know about on t5s but i had one on a p2 and it was waffty crank it didn,t stay on there for very long at all !
mixed feelings about the old LeoVince...had one on a px177, was s**t, put one on a mates T5 172 , was s**t, put one on another mates standard T5 and it absolutely flew
, didn't do any derestriction things at all.

this was all a very long time ago...none of the scooters are with their original owners.soulboy wrote:keep us informed mate

I agree they need revs which is why p2s and px 125s where crap but i can verify they really worked well on a std T5 it made them really rev on......................i did try taken out the washer but it only made it noisier.....................ALSO I DO STILL HAVE A BRAND NEW ONE IN THE WRAPPER,,,,,,,,bought for nostalgia cant bring myself to use it.
