Anyone have an easy way of cleaning out the inside of a petrol tank that has been left standing half full of 2 stroke mix since about 1976? No rust or corrosion apparent, just thick residue. Or is it just fill with degreaser and leave to soak or something? Don't want to take it out of the frame.
Thanks.

I'd put some petrol in it to dissolve it and see how it goes, although removing and cleaning thoroughly would probable be the proper way ;)
