Serveta 200 with a snapped crank, ooops :-(

Mates scooter on the way back from Woolacombe today,
Good plug colour and running well, then
BANG
Conrod let go, and chopped his matching numbers case in half, less than 25mm of alloy left holding the 2 sections together
Anyone else seen this happen

Has the casing been pushed apart to explain the gap between the web and driveside plate?

Wow .. that be scary lookin s**t! .. I used to think mec cranks were ok, i have heard some stories about them recently but that is just too much evidence .. ( i still blame the Fuel) .. its a conspiracy !!
