does anyone know if one of these would work on a vespa px?

iv read somewhere that the sender needs to be within 100ohms and 510ohms, for it to work,
so is a vespa px sender unit capable of that?
then if not iv also read theres a small black box that can be used if not,
anyone else got any info or fitted one of these?
