removing rear hub studs

ok bought a brand new hub 2 wks ago ..on the way back FROM SCoots and boots (fekin rubbish :evil: ) all my wheel nuts came loose one trashed rim and 3 studs been chopped into ..is there a easy way to remove the studs :( :( :(

Drill from the back of the studs, start with a 2mm drill bit and work your way up. Shouldnt take long the material there made from is rubbish, or if you are very careful grind the back of the studs away. If you have a dremel cut the studs of as close as you can to the hub, drill a pilot hole and knock out with a nail punch.

On the original hubs the rear of the stud is sort of 'peened over', there is a hex key socket on the back and you can sometimes screw them out but even if you can get them out then then there's no real good way to secure the replacements.

Generally best to replace with a button head or a set screw.
