drt 24/24 carb

ive got a drt 24/24 carb about to be fitted to a pinasco 225. with the higher flow and particularly the bigger feed hole to the main jet will this effect the jetting?

You might find you need a smaller main as more fuel will be in float bowl as it fills up quicker, but try it and see. Basically your only restriction now, is the main jet as the fuel will be there all the time. The drt carb stops the bowl running dry at full chat. Or I may be talking b0ll0x...

yes you have it right

i read that it would need upjetting but cant understand why :?

im just being cautious on the mrs s scooter so i dont have to fix it again

I would've thought that the main jet will still only flow according to it's size no matter how much fuel is in the bowl?

True but if the restriction was the feeder hole, then you might need a smaller main :ugeek:

what's the drt carb? a 'sorted' spaco?

The flow through the main jet will be affected if the float bowl level is changed. The higher fuel level increases the static head pressure at the main jet. Otherwise all remains the same regardless of any other feed hole size which should already be bigger than the main jet.
