ive got hold of a bare gp chaincase but am wondering about converting to li/sx type kickstart mechanism as its supposed to be easier on the endplate etc.

is it as easy as just using the li/sx kickstart lever / return plate / no need for kickstart stop and allen bolt?

only thing you need to add is the li type kickstart ramp to the side case .. some early gp cases have the holes drilled later ones are blank and need the 3 holes drilling and tapping to m6 ,don't know if you have a gp end plate with the ramp ..if you do this needs cutting off .. you will need a gp kick shaft as well as the allen bolt etc
