Has anyone tried the MB ones for fit, nearly half the price and broadhurst stuff is normally good quality?

If the MBD ones are the ones with a red tab on the black key,saying MBD,then they are made at the same place as the AF ones. Me mate has an MBD one on his special,but it packed in and doesn't turn off on the key,he has to stall it ,then turn it off.

try taking the ignition switch to a locksmith they may be able to rekey it..
you will need a proper 'old fashioned' locksmith though rather than a bloke with a van, a drill and a massive call out charge..
I found a good one in Canterbury who rekeyed a couple of ignitions for me..

I have the Mb one and when I snapped a key I took the broken key to a locksmith and was very surprised when he said it was from a small forklift

he even showed me a lock he had and it was the same

I have one of those on my LiS and an MB one on my Jet, both have been faultless, the MB one has been on the scoot for over 4k miles now.

Don't suppose you still have the wiring diagram?
I like the sound of switched DC for accessories (I'm thinking my SIP speedo

)

Yep, I'll dig it out later. From memory it wasn't 100% correct, but easy to work out with a continuity tester/multi-meter.
