Hi everyone
having got the motor back together the kickstart shart is just catching 1st gear, that is the actual housing rather than the actuating plunger, is it feasible to grind the top back slightly to clear the 1st gear
btw its a cyclone box but its just a question of fractions of a mm
regards
dave

grind it off,or machine the crankcase side so the shaft sits away from the gears, use extra shim washers to get the circlip tolerance correct!

I ground the lip on my LI kickstart shaft down and used the original as a guide as to how much to take off.

It hasn't given me any issues in the last 10 years.......which i know has now given it the kiss of death.

Had exactly that issue in the past....

Just ground the body back a few mil to get clearance... no issue after that....
