My newly fitted RT195 has been running really nicely with a clubman and 26mm but everyone told me it would go even better with a 30mm so I've just fitted a nice shiny brand new Dellorto 30. The scooter starts and runs fine but doesn't want to rev over 7000 becoming a bit splutters and generally not sounding very keen. Upto there it goes brilliantly but just will not rev out like the 26 mm did. I took the foam filter off and it ran marginally better.i also tried moving the clip down two notches on the needle but that didn't seem to help.
Here's my carb set up on the 26 then the 30:-

PHBH 26 Dellorto.
AV264
X2 needle
100 main
50
50
40 slide

PHBH 30 Dellorto
AV266
X7 needle
118 main
50
50
40 slide

It looks to me like I should have a smaller main- maybe 110 and try the X2?

Help

Have you tried talking with MB as I would think your set up would be a common one.

I posted this on another topic ...

PHBH 26 on stg 4 Indian 200 [the shitty 3 ringer] with AF 42mm clubman.
Was given this by someone who knows a lot more about carbs than I know.
Idle 52/55
Atomiser AV266 with X7/X13 needle (X13 is richer)
If too rich with AV266/X13 but too weak with Av266/X7 use AV264/X13 all on 2nd clip.
Main aprox 110 with breathsweet, 105/7 through airbox.

These should get you into the ballpark.

My mild tune 230 is running ok on 52 idle, AV266/X13, 110 main with ram air.

I'm using 52 idle, AV266, X13 needle, 110 main with breath sweet filter, 40 slide, 250 float valve. No fuel in carb elbow and great on juice, just not very fast.

I'd use the same set up with a 30mm but kick off with a 118 and work my way down if necessary.
