GP200 and GP150 on the road riding differences ????

Is there a significant difference between the GP200 and GP150 out on the road? I will be riding 2 up on occassions.
I'm after a GP200 and have been to look at a GP150 with a 175 top end. I'm unsure as to whether to stick out for a GP200.
The power output is quoted as 11.7 BHP on a GP200 with a GP150 being 8.7, around 35% more for the 200.
A TV175 is quoted as the same BHP as a GP150

Does the 175 top end add anything?

Not sure there's an answer to that. The figures you're quoting might have been good for standard machines back in the day, but are sort of academic now when few scooters are truly standard. There's a lot of variables. The main thing you would notice would be in the gearing I should think. Again that's assuming it's standard. You need to get some specs on the scooters you are interested in and people can give you their sage like advice.

theres also a vast difference in "175" top ends:-
a genuine TV175 barrel has larger ports than a 150 bored to 175
Theres loads of "175" alloy/ steel lined barrels for sale- some good and some great (as doorstops!!)
All things being equal, a genuine unmolested GP200 will be superior to a genuine unmolested GP150.
Personally, I'd go for a genuine TV175 S3 any day of the week in preference to any GP, but thats my own opinion and not designed to antagonise the GP lobby!!
Enjoy whatever you buy

Is it italian or indian you have been looking at?
I'd rather have a well sorted 150 than a shite 175, but of course a sorted 200 would be the pick of the bunch, but if its italian then its big money.
Its hard to generalise because there arent really any standard scoots left ,so you really just need to decide what you want and what you can afford, and dont buy the first shite you go to look at

I looked at a restored, but used since, Indian GP150 (175). My other option (so far bugger all else) is an AF Rayspeed (or other) restored Indian GP200

What's your budget?
This one doesn't seem a crazy price.
And it's not been turned into a lolly wrapper either.

I've just been looking at that, Budget = £3000 or close to it. If a cracker came up to be honest I'd probably push the boat out to £4000
