vespa fast flow taps

the new wave of vespa fast fuel taps are doing away with traditional long breather tube

i have always wondered why its there anyway -

when SIP brought out the first one they kept the traditional format

have heard people modifiying taps to do away with the pipe

any advantages to be had ?

used to take the breather off to make a fast flow years ago....couldn't turn the fuel off though, was permanently on.

Bike sorted - carb !!! Will try my ultra sonic cleaned tomorrow if no go new carb !!
