Got home from work and as i pulled up to the garage and put the scoot in neutral it just started racing ,put it back in gear with clutch in and revs return to normal :?
Any ideas ?

flyside oil seal. pulling the clutch in is pressing the crank against the worn seal, sealing it up again. easy fix, flywheel off, stator off(mark position for timing etc.) prise old seal out, squeeze new seal into position.replace bits in reverse order etc.

That's both sides then :roll: already going to replace it as my crank oil seal has gone as well ,did wonder why the engine was covered in a black dust .Just glad its not something else .

if you are doing both, you might as well do the crank bearings while you"re on with it.....and the cruciform, and piston rings, gaskets, clutch plates and springs.......

I have a full set of bearings and a cruciform and all seals on order
