Before I never used anything, until I had a problem and after checking my seals I still could not see a problem. But was told if everything else is ok, it must be the seals. So I used gasket paste and put an even bead on the edge and around the front of the seal, hoping that if I blow a seal again it should make it more obvious, this of course only works for the flywheel seal. I did watch that mike brewer program and the mechanic soaked the seal in oil overnight before fitting, saying it gives a far better seal. As for Loctite I hate the stuff, especially on cylinder studs.

I used to use bearing and seal adhesive until I was advised by a well known Vespa tuner to use Yamabond ie Threebond 1104
