I am thinking about changing the piston rings in my 200 cylinder
Would there be a period of running in again with new rings, or is that just a case of new piston and rings that need running in

It depends how worn the barrel is - i`ve put rings in as quick short term fix when i know it needs a rebore and not ran them in

you need to look at the tolerances and gap them accordingly

if in doubt gap them and give em 50-100 miles without thrashing through the box and at top end

Thanks Gaz, the barrels fine, the ring gap is a bit bit that's all

in that case i would gap them and give them a bit of time to bed
