Best place for fixings

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

Hi all anybody recommend a gud place to get fixings for me cutdown ,there some expensive places out there LOL,or would my local fixings place would be best place? Anybody got a lammy parts list?

Buy local, it'll be much cheaper. There is a fixings list floating around, I don't have it to hand but can post tomorrow if it hasn't been posted already ;)

I've compiled a list of all standard fixings on an Li series Lambretta, which I could email to you?
It's about 6-7 pages long and was compiled with the 'assistance' of The 'Unofficial' Lambretta Manual Update book

If theres a JR Websters near you, and you can get a copy of the Unofficial lambretta manual....Websters sell or can obtain most screws nuts and washers, I get my 7mm nuts and washers and pressure plate screws off them, as well as most of the normal metric nuts washers and bolts....

Here's the list I have for Series 3...


1.Horn Casting

M5 x 10mm Pan Head Slotted Screw (2 Required)
M6 x 18mm Allen Head Screw + 2x6mm Conical Washers (2 Sets Required)
M5 x 20mm Countersunk Oval Slotted Screw + Finishing Washer (2 Sets Required)
M5 x 16mm Hex Head Bolt + 5mm Large Diameter Conical Washer (2 Sets Required)
M4 x 10mm Countersunk Oval Head Slotted Screw (Oval is optional, just looks better) (2 Required)


2.Front Mudguard

M5 x 25mm Countersunk Flat Top Slotted Screw + 5mm Nut, 5mm Conical Washer (2 Sets Required)
M5 x 20mm Countersunk Oval Slotted Screw + Finishing Washer, 5mm Nut, 5mm Conical Washer (2 Sets Required)


3.Floor Set

M4 x 10mm Pan Head Screw + 4mm Speed Nut, and
M4 x 20mm Pan Head Screw + 4mm Nut, 4mm Large Diameter Washer
M4 x 10mm Pan Head Screw + 4mm Speed Nut (2 Sets required)
(In lieu of speed nuts, you can use plain nuts and washers)
M4 x 20mm Countersunk Oval Slotted Screw + 4mm Nuts, 4mm Washers (4 Sets Required)

Cheers soulsurf,main things iam looking for are forks nuts,shocker,engine,wheels,headset,lever bolts ,going to change sidecasing to Allen key ones

Why??? Taking bolts in and out of an alloy casing will wear the threads. You are better off using studs.

Agreed, allen bolts look nice but f*@k up the threads on your casings leading to oil leaks, don't do it.
