Cheers m8, thinking about one myself with a taffy touring pipe, 28mm khein pwk, current engine is 186 mugello, 26mm delly, pacemaker gear box and uprated gp crankdopeshots wrote:I have one. Running a JL4, 30mm Delly Power Jet, 15x46 gearing. Flys! Genuine 80mph and beats everything getting there. Love it.

I was talking to Tino at the Euro Lambretta, he told me he had just got the first samples of the Super Monza for small-block. Is this the same kit as the Imola Ultimate you are referring to...?

Not sure why you'd want the Ultimate kit then stick a touring pipe on it? May as well stick with the Mugello. It's tuned to be a high revving kit that'll operate best with a high revving exhaust.thebassmasta wrote:Cheers m8, thinking about one myself with a taffy touring pipe, 28mm khein pwk, current engine is 186 mugello, 26mm delly, pacemaker gear box and uprated gp crankdopeshots wrote:I have one. i feel the mugello is tired, its a v2 and its done a few miles, I used to love my reed valve engines in the ninetys, thats why i fancied the imola. I do have an issue with my muggy at the mo, shes really boggy pulling off, but once shes rolling she really boogies. if i could cure this problem i would more than happy keep the mugello. running 26mm dellorto, not sure if that could be the problem. i like my scoots to pull off a little quicker if you know what i mean

Cam Lams original Muggy 186 demonstrator ran a PHBH26mm through a drilled airbox and clubman. Out of the box kit I was told and it flew. It wouldn't have kept up with my early Imola with TMX27 and scootrs exhaust though.
My comment re the Taffy exhaust is based on changing the gearing from 5.4 to 4.99 and changing the scootrs exhaust to a JL3 on my flying Imola and completely ruining the performance it previously had.

do you think the taffy copy pipe could be holding it back a bit?
