I've finally got hold of a second hand ts1 barrel, going to run it till end of the year then get it replated over winter. What I'd like to find out is if Langcourts are able to replace a small section of the top fin that has broken off at some time? It's only a small bit but if I'm getting it reconditioned I may as well try to get job done at same time. Cheers

Spoke to a very helpful lady at langcourts (boy did she know her stuff! :o sexist remark sorry  ) They have to assess each barrel individually where damage is concerned. When I told them part of top fin was lost she said probably scrap, I replied it was discounted ts1 barrel "oh another one of those!!!" she says.
Anyway she told me to e-mail some decent digital pics of the damage and they'll get back to me with a quote.

I thought she was abit harsh saying it was scrap, after all if they can replace a spigot then a fin is an easy job. I'm not getting it done till the winter any way.
