hi had one fitted used now for 300 miles and it will still not stop as good as before fitting it. no matter how much pressure, adjusting the cable,even roughen the shoes up still will not stop like it should, is it better to fit standard shoes any ideas?

What do you mean, fit standard shoes? I thought it was some sort of cam that enabled your standard brake shoes to contact the inside of the drum more evenly. Are yours not standard?

as far as i know you get the cam and a set of brake shoes with the kit

It's already getting a bit too technical for me.

You could try a standard set certainly. The Makino ones are quite cheap and said to be very good. You won't lose anything by doing it.

There are two sizes i think the bigger size is LI and smaller is GP.

I have one fitted correctly and its not great. Im re-building the scoot at the mo so will have another go at it but at the moment not really impressed.

Ther's something funny going on with pictures. They look ok in the preview but I can't see the pivots in actual thread picture. Maybe it's the same for others?
