Just purchased an andy francis super tourer for my scooter,
its just standard finish, and would like it coated,
these guys are local, wonder if it would be a good choice coated?

I've had lots of exhausts ceramic coated (not by the shop you listed) and for me it's what should be done to all of them. Diffrent colors have diffrent heat ranges so keep that in mind when having an exhaust coated.
Once done check for little polishing beads that find their way in to all the tight spaces and be sure to clean the coated exhaust once it's installed. Any hand prints can stain the finish once it heats up.

Was you advised against chrome because of the exhaust cracking on the welds? The reason I ask is that Ben Kemp didn't want me to have an NK chromed on my s type as he couldn't guarantee the welds after they had been smoothed for chroming. Yet I never had any issues with a PM I had done.Just wondered if the Franspeeds had the same issues.I ended up with a chrome Fresco. I love the lacquered metal minish, but it burns off and they rust. The ceramic looks nice though.
