Hi all, I'm trying to determine the length of the con rod on a crank I'm planning to use for an RB20 build. It should measure 116mm, am I measuring it in the right places? Thanks in advance Pete.

I think muppet's idea was reasonable on the previous thread, measuring between the edges of the two eyes is easier than trying to guesstimate the centres, then add half the diameters of the gudgeon pin and big end pin.

Which ever way you measure it, it ain't 116mm between centres. :(
Send it back. Again. Get a refund and spend your money elsewhere. ;)

That's what I'm gonna do. I spent a grand with this dealer and they are sending me the wrong bits. They are supposed to be the experts. More bad service it's starting to p*#s me off now. Thanks Guys.

Hi all, It turns out that the dealer has been sent a whole batch of these marked up wrongly. They are sending me out the correct and more expensive crank at their cost. It came from Beedspeed and I'm more than happy with the way I have been treated. Alls well that ends well....

Lee from Beedspeed measured one in their shop and it was 107mm. It looks like they have been supplied a batch of cranks fitted with the 107mm rods rather than 116mm. They have been more than fair with me and I can't fault them.
