Protech Shock Fitting

Hi, I just bought a Protech shock for my GP125 and would like to check something. Should the metal bushes in the top and bottom mounts of the shock be free to rotate on the engine & frame mounting bolts, or should it be tightened up so that the rubber bushes in the shock eyes provide the necessary flex?
Thanks for any help with this.

if the bushes are solid metal and not rubber shock must be free to turn on the mounting points .. best if you use nyloc nalf nuts

The shocks have a metal bush surrounded by rubber, but the rubber bit is pretty thin.

Two choices, half locknuts or standard nuts tightened with loctite then backed off 1/4 turn.Grease the stubs before fitting the shock.
