I've also posted this on General Scooter chat to see what response I get

Cheers

Just been changing carb rubber and fitting new exhaust stud and noticed that the metal strap around the carbon end can on the PM Fat Mamba had lost all rivets apart from one then noticed that the end can was only just hanging on as the plate on the end of the pipe where the 3 bolts fit was in 2 pieces and cracked about 3/4 of the way round.
It's only done about 3000 miles but I wonder if it could be due to the end can not being supported like the JL3 I had on before.
Rung PM and I've got to send it back, which now m,eans I'm without a pipe as I had a JL3 on before but given it to a mate.Hope they can get it sorted and back to me for Kelso.
I'll let you know what they say

Anybody else had or heard of this problem or know of an end can support bracket that can be fitted.

Or can lend me an exhaust until I get mine back ;)
Please
I do not try to explain why I ride Lambrettas,
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary,
For those who don't, no explantion is possible.

Here's a couple of pictures showing the problem with my PM Fat Mamba end can mounting etc.
It has been fitted correctly and only done a couple of thousand miles.I wonder if it doesn't help not having a support bracket for the end can.
Has anyone else had this problem?
It's now gone back to PM so I'll see what they say

Cheers

A mate of mine had a fat mamba, the silencer snapped clean off after only a hundred miles or so. Frightened the life out of me as it bounced down the road towards me.
