NECO TUNING INFO

anyone got any info on "tuning" these not looking for mega speed just a bit more top end and the ability to hold it there scoot is a !2 plate so fuel injected it hits 52 on sat nav head down 
have cut cat thing off pipe which made it rev out quicker ,there is talk that the ecu is limited untill you have hit 1500 miles on the speedo but i cant find proof of that dont want to get a 180 kit and find its still limited if that makes sense
