Hi all, I'm thinking of selling or possibly swapping my Imola engine and was wondering what a ball park figure would be of its value. Spec as follows; casing welded and matched to enlarged ports, scavenger port cut into inlet all done by JB tuning. AF race crank with tigged pin, Original Ducati light flywheel and 120w BGM stator, mag housing machined for clearance. 5 plate clutch, IWIS chain, late Pacemaker box on 46/16, quick slip tensioner. 30mm VHSB carb, choice of a new NK race or Franspeed 3 in stainless, head and flywheel cowling and hub. Engine done no more than 200 miles and all conponents are in top condition. It makes 19.7 BHP on JB's dyno. Any comments very welcome cheers Pete.

Difficult to know people will pay for used goods. Given that it's about a grand for a new SIL 200, without exhaust, carb, etc and then add on what needs upgrading just to get it to 12 bhp, you won't get much change from £1500. I'd say in those terms the Imola would be worth as much, whether anyone will pay that is another matter.

Very true. Some people will pay silly money for NOS innocenti wheel nuts and others wouldn't. £1500 is what I had in my head. The kit and tuning work were £1000 on their own. Then the pipe and carb another £450 ect ect. I'll have a think about what I want to do with it. Cheers Fellas.

i would off set all the parts of u standerd sil engine to your upgraded parts ie a sil crank 50 pounds af crank 200 pounds , 150 pounds, then add u tuning work and take away 20% , some one then ends up with very cheap bas new tuned engine, prob saving in excess of 500 pounds
