Boysen reeds

Hi got some boysen dual stage reeds to fit to MB reed valve on my px do you still leave the metal stopper plates on or remove them ?

Thanks mr oz thought I read that somewhere also I have 2 sets one set both reeds are fibreglass and one set are fibreglass and carbon are they as good as each other or carbon set better ??
