12 volt, will horn work?

Can anyone tell me if the original 6v horn from my series 3 will work now iv converted to 12v

And if not does anyone know where i can get a cheapish 12v replacment?

hi sef,got my 12v horn from ebay when i convertes to 12v. chrome one for £6 i think it was

I left my oe 6v AC horn when I converted to 12v.
I think there is more of a problem if trying to use an AC horn with DC ?

of course, it's still a pathetic quack, rising with the revs...
but it ticks the box on the mot sheet.
