Has anyone used or can recommend loctite to secure the bronze bush to the crownwheel, to prevent wear to the crownwheel ? if so what loctite would be the best for this application ?

why would you want to Loctite the bush in place? its supposed to run like a bearing between the two running surfaces of the clutch, no need for it to be fixed

The reason why i asked is because i bought a MMW 7 plate clutch from Jockey's Boxenstop and they have used loctite on the bush, i have emailed them about this and they said it is to prevent wear on crownwheel ! wasn't sure myself, so i thought i would get some more opinions on this before i press it back out. THANKS

Hmm that seems odd to me as the bush is a sacrificial part, ie its supposed to be softer than the two surfaces it's between and so the bush should wear and be easily replaced therefore saving the crownwheel and spider.

I'll have to try that on my wheel bearings....

Yes it is, however, it's the same principle, ie sacrificial as its easier to replace that than the whole con rod and you can get away with it being pressed in as it's not 2 parts spinning around each other.
Same originally on the brake pedal bush, though many now use plastic.

The Granturismo clutch also had a sacrificial bush pressed into the crownwheel...
