Loctite high temperature question

I have a cylinder head with an aluminium blank plug in a centre plug hole, and the standard position plug hole. It's unlikely I'll ever use the centre plug hole and I want to loctite the blank plug in properly.
As far as I can see, I need Loctite 272 to withstand the high temperature. Is this right please?
Are there any cheaper alternatives?
