Rear Hub Studs

I have a PX rear hub with no studs in, I got some studs for it.

They screw in and out by hand and obviously there's no head to stop them screwing right through. They're certainly not tight in the threads at all.

Are they supposed to held in with loctite or similar or am I missing something?

They are punched at the factory to stop them moving. I've just done some and used a hydraulic press to do the same. You may be able to loctite them in if the threads are ok then fit a long cylinder head spacer nut screwed on and centre punch the stud on the hubs rear to hold it.

^ interesting idea

I thought they must be peened over somehow, I might look for another hub, but figured if they were removable/replaceable there must mechanism to fix them in place.
