Running a 25 phbl through the airbox, muggy 225 and a gori 48mm. Runs nicely and seems to pull well but feels a bit held back particularly at high speed. Just removed my airfilter (though I kept the hose connected to the air box for look(?)) and moved the needle up a couple of slots and she fairly flies going round the block. As soon as the temperature goes up I'll take her on a long run. Didn't want to tickover oddly.

What's the view on running without any kind of filter and do you think running it through an empty airbox makes any difference?

Can't be any worse than running an open carb through a hole in your panel.
