Had a AF reverse cone clubman many many years ago, even remember getting pulled by the plod for it being too loud and being given an advisory about it (I cut up a Mikeck and bodged it on to quieten it down FFS  ). Anyway nostalgia apart,I've got a strange urge for that BOP!BOP!BOP! sound again to put on my 225.I know it would need to be a 48mm,at present running a 48mm clubman would there be an improvement in performance/no difference or a step backwards.I'm also assuming I'd need to do plug chops again and check the jetting? and are they still as loud as fook? cheers

They are much better... for about 1 week, then they are the same as they've always been... LOUD! That said, much of it depends on the motor that you're using it on; a small cc bike with limited exhaust port size will only be loud, whereas a bigger cc with big exhaust port will be loud as !

Ha, way too loud...so loud I took a little video on my phone to remind myself never to fit one again.
Fits nice though ...

I had a mate with one of these on an s type back in the seventies and looked the bo**ocks. Funnily enough I don't remember it being that loud at the time but then I think we were all oblivious to anyone else's peace and quiet.
