16/47 on mine which at 4.9 is supposed to be perfect for the pipe. Well I love it anyway at a little over 12 stone

I really have same question, TS1 but with JL3, tmx 35, Li 150 box. Was told by a few in the Know to use 18/47, but spoke to guy who had this in and told he was never out of 3rd gear, so he fitted 16/47, perhaps 17/47 would have been better, though stretched 81 link chains must be like Hens teeth. Anyway I'm thinking of reverting back to the 46 Crownwheel and 17 front sprocket, reasoning behind this is I have 225 Muggelo with 46/16 and it runs with ease so TS should be ok with 17 front sprocket. I think ratio is 4.6 .By the way the guy with 16/47 loves it.

got the 18/47 in my engine with a li150 gearbox - it pulls the ratio easily, but my engine got about 35NM torque at this time....
