taffy pipe problem

hello all,has anybody had the same problem as me,the taffy
pipe i have just fitted on my scoot is tight on the rear foot
board,everytime i go over a small bump the foot board dis-
lodges my panel,would offset cones alleviate me of this
problem,many thanks drew2.

cut away your floorboard to give adequate clearance...............

it doesn't seem to be catching at the back but along the
footboard itself where the expansion part is,if you know
what i mean

I had this problem some years ago with a PM pipe but you could lower from the side case mounting bracket..but never had a taffy! can this be done with these

ok then make sure that the side of floorboard is not catching on chamber.........
also ,and this is very common............check that the floorboard runner studs are short enough to clear........
usually noticeable by corrosponding marks on ex chamber body.............

yes, it is noticeable where the studs are catching,i will re-fit
the floor board and cut the studs down,i will also try to adjust
the mounting bracket although there doesn't look like there is
much play there.
