Wow what a difference!

I've been really disappointed with the performance of my Imola powered scoot, so i asked for gearing advice on here. It was running with an Italian LI150 box, Franspeed race and 15/47 sprockets a standard basket with MB springs and BGM plates. I was advised to go 15/46 with a Pacemaker box, so I purchased a 46 tooth basket and Pacemaker box and swapped it all over. It was better, but still not what i'd expect from a highly tuned kit. I'd read good things about the NK road / race pipe, so i bit the bullet and purchased one from AF. It was an instant improvement, but it then made the clutch slip like mad pass half throttle. luckily I had a new AF race clutch that I was saving for another project, so I fitted that and now it's like riding another scooter. It wants to wheelie in 1st and 2nd gears and no longer runs out of steam, it just revs and wants to keep going in every gear. I'm still smiling an hour after putting her away in my shed. I can't wait for some decent riding weather now :D . Thanks to everyone who advised me Pete.

Got one to go on my TS1 Pete, although I made a double sleeve manifold stub with 2 springs and added extra lugs and spring on the tailpipe stub for better sealing. One thing to watch is the end cans tend to fall apart or the centre baffle tube wears the endcap through so I've fitted a carbon can as they are also quieter :geek: Hope the pipe goes as well as you say otherwise I've wasted my time

I'm more than happy with the NK Lloyd. Nice fittment and it sounds lovely but more importantly it does what it says on the tin! I'll keep an eye on the end can thanks for the heads up...
