i recently bought a taffy copy pipe from scoot erotica, The pipe has been on the scoot for a few weeks now while its been on its stand whilst building is in process, now i have found a major flaw in it, the centre stand wont go all the way up as it hits the exhaust on the way up. anybody else had the same problem?

Hope that's a major flaw you mean. ;)

Seriously though, have you got a 310mm series 2 length shockie on a series 3? It can make a difference (depending of course on exactly where the stand hits the pipe). I was surprised how much more clearance I had on my JL3 with the engine angled down a bit more at the front when I replaced my 310mm Escorts with a 300mm Protec shockie.

But is the problem the pipe or the remade s/steel stand ? My money is on the stand , or a combination of both . try putting a scaffold pipe over the stand and bending it out .

The original Taffys were fat there too. Trad solution is to shave the stand foot or bend the stand out a bit.

tend to think it could be the stand as well, had a similar poblem but not the same pipe, turned out to be the remade stand i bought.Got hold of an original and it passed it comfortably also is it a S3 stand and not a S2? as theres a difference there as well

One of the 1st things i purchased for my rebuild was a SS stand. It's hanging on my shed wall now, it's absolute rubbish. I'd try a original stand and see if it still fouls.
