afer a process of elimination of the running of a friends bike...weve found the rs clubman to be totally coked up(the 2 stroke oil kind )anyway the af clubman is running sweet on it now....can the pipe be de-coked successfully anyhow?

in my younger years when a exhaust was coked up we used to get it OFF the scooter. put it in the middle of the street, fill it up with gasoline and set it on fire. TIP just see that the neighbours aren't cleaning their windows (lots of black smoke). but honestly i don't think that is a good way to do it

another way is to plug one end and fill with caustic soda solution..........
leave for a day or two .........
or just fill with thinners.........swish it around a bit.........

Save all exhausts that require de-coking until Novermber 5th as this will provide suitable cover... Leave them in the heart of the bonfire until well baked or prefrably glowing red then remove and without delay blow through them with compressed air. Whilst carrying out his operation try to aim the stinger or tailpipe upwards and you will be rewarded with a fountain of sparks that will represent many years of two stroke fulfilment and will add a warm glow to the festivities in general......................

ha ha goodstuff...yeah i suggested the bung and the caustic soda...but never had to do this before myself....

Yes caustic soda is the way to go, Ive done it...BUT be careful and take heed of the warnings it will melt your skin off

Buy a new one

Buy a new one...Not too sure RS Clubmans are that easy to come by, they aren't exactly off the shelf.
You've also got a big angry dog to bypass when you goto to pick one up. I'd stick with burning it out and a repaint after!

Caustic soda seems to work ok too.
