Hi, I've got an early P200 autolube engine and I want to get rid of the autolube and just use premix. Can anyone advise on the best way to do this and any problems etc i should be aware of.

By the way, It currently has the autolube bolt and cog removed and mastic blocking up the hole (CLASS). Someone did say to me that if you remove the cog in this way, the engine would run poorly as it provides movement for the clutch?????

Similarly could I just leave the gear cog etc in place but jusst not connect it all up at the carb end.

Yes you can leave it all in place and just crimp up the metal tube that is sticking out of the carb. Crimp it up right near the end and fold it over ,that way you could cut it and re-use it in future if you wanted. Or cut a short piece of the oil feed pipe ,secure it on the metal pipe and force and secure a bolt ,something like an m7 or m8 thread,in the other end to make a blank.

The cogs do nothing to do with the clutch , the shim with the keyhole under the clutch will have teeth on to drive the spigot gear ,that should remain in place of course but i'm guessing you're not going in there.

You will need to upjet from 116 to 118 ,and it's an idea (but not essential) to block the channel under the carb that the oil feeds through to the little hole under the venturi,you could do that with silicon/mastik/gasket sealer so you can get it out if you wanted to ,or just use an early type gasket to block the hole.
