Carb Hose

Had issues last year with stuttering at around 50 MPH like fuel starvation. It's just a 150 bored out to 175 running a 42mm Clubman with a 24mm OKO PWK copy. Have checked fuel flow from FF tap yesterday and getting a pint a minute. Was never quite happy at the angle the carb sat at as it was on the pi55 when looked at square on due to float bowl just catching on cowls, and as you can see from the photo, if I connect carb to hose, it will force down the carb. Is there a shorter hose out there anywhere?

Stuttering may now be due to CDI or LT coil underload and won't know till I give her another run, but wanted to use process of elimination to rule out things one at a time.

Seems to be a known problem (the fuel starvation) with this type of carb (fortunately with a known solution). Check out these for a start:

Then maybe do a search in the forums for "PWK"

Hope it's easy to fix, I've just ordered a OKO PWK 28/30

I've read and done all of those, but it's the carb hose that is the issue. It will force the carb down and the plastic floatbowl will vibrate against the cowls and not last that long I would have thought.

Thanks Jason. That may do it. Just have to rummage around as I think I may have one to try.
