Got a new Diablo tank, so now want to seal it inside.
Previously would have gone for Petseal.
But with all comments etc I've seen recently about Ethanol content etc, not sure its the best solution.
So what reccomendations do you have ?
Equally what not to use
TA !!!!!!!!

This might be a daft question, but why would you want to seal it? And anyway how will you tell if it leaks or not?

I used this stuff. Don't know if it works yet because I haven't filled up with petrol.

Rather than use their cleaner which is bloody expensive I used a bottle of oven cleaner which looked to have pretty much the same ingredients (Sodium Hydroxide). I chucked in a handful of nuts and bolts and then gave it all a good shake until I got bored. I then left it for 24 hours, turning it over every now and then. I don't know what it did to the tank but the nuts and bolts came out looking like new.
I also managed to seal my hands which on the downside has given them a creepy grey sheen but on the upside has made them impervious to all known petrochemicals.

POR15. I'm pretty sure you can get it from Holden's Classic Cars and Bikes.

answer for Doom patrol.
New tank, bare metal on inside.
Sooner or later will rust, and get crap in my tank.
Especially top half wher there is usually no petrol covering.
So its to seal inside of tank against rust, rather than stop a leak etc

I have a tank with a proprietory tank sealer inside. I've used it since 2009.
At the weekend, I dropped the engine out to make a repair. I left the scooter for a day or so, unaware that the tap was dripping. When I returned, the smell gave the game away and I cleared it all up, but when I looked at the banjo on the end of the petrol pipe, I found this....
It is an array of very fine crystals; very soft, but what caused them? Am I correct to blame the tank sealant?
