PX Stalling

Looking for confirmation with my new winter problem. PX stalls as soon as I select a gear, sits on idle all day long. Do I have an air leak in the casings or barrel, cylinder head. Or do you think it's the clutch. Did have this problem before and I think the clutch was the problem. I'm looking for confirmation on this before I start crawling around my freezing shed.

and to confirm ,with engine not running just pull in the clutch lever fully and kick it over ..it should be totally free..then let the clutch lever out whilst still kicking over ..at about half way you should start to feel the clutch bite and start to try and turn the motor over .

and then if its still stalling after checking out the clutch operation its prob a cush drive failure.
