NK race pipe on an Imola kit.

Hi all has anyone run an Imola with the NK race pipe with good results? Im Currently running with a Franspeed race and LI150 box with 15 / 47 sprockets giving a final drive of 5.3. I'm not getting what I think I should out of the kit so I'm going to swap the box for the later 150 pacemaker box and drop the rear to a 46 to get 5.65. I've read the NK is suited to lower gearing. Can anyone confirm this or has any 'hands on' experience? Cheers Pete.
