i am just putting back together my engine with a new top end, indian sr 185 type kit. the cylinder has been nicely tuned and comes with a head which i presume has been modifide to go with the cylinder. i have another head which was done for an imola kit with 10.6->2 is this considered too much now or will it be ok to use. cheer simon

does the head have a squish clearance quoted ,its only going to be that cr at a set clearance, changing the squish changes the compression ratio quite a lot.
after buretting a lot of heads ive found many are calculated wrong so may be worth checking

was proberbly done correctly as it was done by camlam/ c. edmunds and was done to suit an early imola kit i.e a 150cc head opened up to suit. no sqish quoted. i dont know about the head that came with the kit ??, this was done by scootererotica and signed m.a. , mick abbey ??.Darrell Taylor wrote:does the head have a squish clearance quoted ,its only going to be that cr at a set clearance, changing the squish changes the compression ratio quite a lot.
