Hi all, I have a long range tank that I got on the cheap, not from these people but this link just to show what one it is

although mines got cutouts both sides and is 14L

anyway its got the mounts as shown, rear is obviously solid mounted as it bolts up to the seat mount at rear and thers a single centre strap that runs round to the front which has a bolt clamp arrangement, do you think I should be looking at putting rubber strips on the strap? or anywhere else in particular??

already regretting starting the swap to be honest, filler hole is nowhere near the middle of the petrol flap, the petrol tap rod wont reach the tap, and if it did the carbs in the way anyway GRRRRR

this thing had better be fun to ride once its all done

If your not happy doing the swap...change it back . I bought one of those from beedys and it wasn't until I got it home that I realised it wouldn't fit as my toolbox door was frenched in I also heard that the fitment wasn't too good....buy cheap, buy twice

Lol so it's isn't just me send it back had same trouble with two of there's and gave up in end . There normal stainless tanks fit perfect I did pm my mobile

well that was a right royal ball ache, I really have never in my life seen such crap products until I recently got into Lambrettas

both brackets needed cutting up and welding back together, holecentres being 5mm or more out is just beyond funny.

still got to sort out the fuel tap issue, but I think that I can rotate the tap inwards and then cut and shut extend the fuel tap rod, I did think I was being smart and put 2 of the brass things in a row, but then the tap is out of sync with the handle.

I bought the tank boxed and un used, now think I realise why he changed his mind, was only £50 just hope it doesnt leak like my other tank

think I will just weld up the diablo tank and have it ready as spare LOL
