Spark plug issues with sip speedo

Do you have to fit a br spark plug to get temp gauge to work on Lammy sip speedo as I had a b8es in before so was advised to change to br8es due to interference issues . But had trouble with the br spark plug so removed it and fitted the b8es back in and today noticed that temp gauge sometime doesn't work now

I understand that the R (resistor) plugs are surpressed type and are recommended to avoid interferance with the RPM signal. The heat sensor should not be affected so check the condition of the connections and particularly the sensor ring round the plug area as these are quite delicate

I've fitted mine to engine cowling will do noticed today when went for ten min blast it wasn't working then came on then stopped again
