fuel tap lever hitting carb

top end is stage 4 gp200 with mb 30mm rubber mount and a 30mm vhsh carb
the problem is the carb is in the way of the fuel lever , any ideas how i can solve this

Talk to Dapper on here. I think he had a similar problem and he got around it with some fancy links or something like that.

I think that could well be it. Not entirely sure how it stops the lever hitting the top of the carb though.

Certainly are close, i got over it on one scooter while messing with inlet track lengths, by making a longer inlet manifold length which suited what i was trying to achieve. You may have to lengthen lever rod for this as it rubs on frame.
Have temporarily used another fuel link ( This does move the tap position 90 degs and it pokes out from frame ok for temp fix)
Also make sure that you get fuel pipe below tank, i found using a tie wrap around bell mouth of carb clamping petrol pipe works well and check/look at operation of fuel tap and lever knuckle.
Bit of messing about but worth it, best carb i own :biggrin:

that joiner is just standard part on RC boats, easy to find on ebay or local model shop etc

You could use a "radiator" type hose that you can cut a bit longer for clearance. Just don't over-tighten it or it'll want to jump off.

thanks for your comments , think i might need to use 2 of those universal joiners
and comme around the front of the carb
