I've just joined the site, and hoping to get advice on squeezing more power from my existing set-up. Its an MB Honda 205 kit, with Dellorto 25mm carb and Ralph Saxelby Clubman.
I'm thinking of going up to a 30mm carb and JL4 exhaust, but would welcome any first-hand experiences or thoughts on this set-up.

if its a saxelby barrel as well, keep the current setup. run forever without hassle.the big carb will give more noise and accelleration but wont affect midrange noticably. the jl will work better as its a proper expansion chamber but will ruin the classic look. Don't be tempted to add a shitty hydraulic brake every gaylord seems obsessed with on here, just take your time and set your cable one up properly and it will work just as well. Every extra bit of power means you need to pay attention to brakes and tyres more closely as well, can't invest in one without the other

I would rather go for a bigger carb then for the JL4 - it will crack all the time.
I think the best way to keep the look is a bigger carb and perhaps a Ancilotti or one of the new MB/BGM clubman.

My GP used to be an MB205 with 25mm and clubman. The guy who used to own it then was never that happy with it and ditched the 25mm and stuck on a 30mm.Totally different then! I'd keep the pipe on it,I run a Saxelby clubman still.

If you stick a jl4 on her she'll end up looking like a right double bagger. Don't do it!

Plus the carb is the cheapest option and easy to spec.
