Anyone been running one of these kits for a while? What are your experiences? Like the idea of minimal running in and keeping my engine standard (Li 150 series 2) with a bit more grunt. Don't particularly like the idea of £330.00 for the privilege.

I'm running one. Not so much over the winter. But they do go well. They pull phenomenally well and it's more powerful than my standard 200.

Got one in a 1969 DL125 25mm dellorto and 42mm clubman
and its very nippy , Very nice kit for speeding around town
between lights.... Dies off on the highway, max's out at 65/68.
But impressive all the same ... G.

I think that there's only one version.
A mate has one that goes really well, just bolted on with a 30mm Dellorto and scootRS pipe. Although the carb and pipe are at odds with the state of tune of the kit. He got an air leak and holed the piston and had to send to Italy for a piston as couldn't get one in this country. Seems like it never sold in any numbers so not very popular, I think people are put off by the fact that with std carb and clubman it only puts out about 10 bhp [which is like admitting you've got a small dick in pub talk]. It runs like a very smooth std 200 and is probably the most well made kit I've come across. I always wanted to try a 210 kit but could never find one.

I looked at the CASA kit when I was looking at a new top end before xmas.

I liked the reports I had heard regarding qualityand smooth running.

even up to when I walked into the shop I wasnt 100% decided, after a chat it was advised that as I had aPM tuning pipe and 28 dellorto to use,the mugello would be a better bet, and probably suit my needs better.

on visual inspection the CASA was better made than my muggy kit,but I went on advise of the shop, and also that lil old thing at back of mind, more BHP or else the guys in the pub gonna laugh at me

I've never run a plated alloy kit before, so it was interesting for me. I'm used to cast, and to be honest I think I prefer them. I hadn't anticipated the lack of feel with an alloy kit. When you run in a conventional barrel you can feel it loosening up. But you don't get that and it feels sort of flat to me. In fact I'm running the kit with a GP200 gearbox and in fourth gear it's almost like an automatic. It pulls like nobodies business and goes up most hills. A bit odd if you're used to keeping an engine going.

There's just no pleasing some people.

I don't like that "feeling" you get with cast iron, it's usually the feeling of it heat seizing.
