Have an engine that was built by Dave Webster (240) and it has some interesting engraving in the engine casing and top end. I presume that its the name of the person who built it. I thought only Rolls Royce done this...

It says "morgardo chrome 6" inside the engine case and also on the mag flange. It also says DJ 240 on the inside of the piston. The casing has been Chromed at some point in the past.

Anyone know who morgardo is? sounds like someone out of lord of the rings....

funny that- mines got "Gupta Singh" engraved on the bore itself. No wonder it never ran..................

It will be Pete Morgardo from Stamford A16 sc it was in a group 6 rep all road legal around 84-85 his family was from Portugal . Can still see him now going flat out past the Danish invader pub

thanks for that, did it win anything? Think the plan may be to get it niccasiled if possible. Its Twinnys engine but he cant post at the mo so asked me if would on his behalf. Is this guy still around?

Not seen him for ages . Asked a few people about it all they can remember was petrol through frame and fast as £uck no photos of scooter yet but got one of Pete . Text me on 07710441191 and I will send you it . Don't no how to put them on here .

i no the scooter and pete . was bulit in 1984 ish first ever reed valve in a lambretta
