horn shorting

im no use with they multimeters, and iv a horn short on my gp, whats the best way to fix the bugger, its mostly when i turn the headset one way, to the right, bloody annoying, cheers

More likely that short is in the headset where the wire passes down from the switch if it happens when you turn the bars.
Take the horn cover and headset off, disconnect the wire from the horn and, if you can, pull it back up thru the headset. Inspect the outer insulation for signs of cracking or chafing. The other place that can short is at the back of the switch. To look at that unscrew the switch and pull all the wires out to check.
If you find a rubbed bit and the insulation is still supple you can put some insulating tape over it or get some thin heat shrink and cover the whole thing. If it is very hard and brittle then you should replace the wire.
